Caroline Chamberlin Hellman completed her BA at Wellesley College and her PhD at the CUNY Graduate Center. She is the author of Children of the Raven and the Whale: Visions and Revisions in American Literature (University of Virginia, 2019) and Domesticity and Design in American Women’s Lives and Literature: Stowe, Alcott, Cather, and Wharton Writing Home (Routledge, 2011). As a Fulbright Scholar in American Literature at the University of Antwerp, she taught graduate and undergraduate courses on space and place. At home in New York, she is Professor of English at City Tech, CUNY, where she teaches literature and composition.
